Osseo School Board Approves Two Finalists for Superintendent
The Osseo School Board narrowed down the search for the next superintendent of Osseo Area Schools to two finalists. A decision on the preferred candidate is expected to be announced shortly after the last interview on March 1.
The finalists are Lisa Sayles-Adams, current superintendent of Eastern Carver County Schools in Chaska, and Kim Hiel, current superintendent of Fridley Public Schools.
Both candidates have some history in the northwest suburbs. Sayles-Adams was a finalist for the position in 2019. Hiel worked as an assistant superintendent at Osseo and was also a principal in the Robbinsdale School District. Hiel was also a finalist for the Robbinsdale superintendent job in 2021.
The next step will involve day-long interviews.
Candidates will have staff and scholar conversations during the day and then at night, parents, staff and community members can attend question and answer sessions. The public is also invited to submit questions via a Google Form for the sessions’ final interviews. Sayles-Adams’ interview day is Feb. 28 and Hiel’s is March 1.
A decision is expected to be announced after the last meeting on March 1.
