Osseo Cross Country Alumni Host Scholarship Fundraiser for Graduating Seniors
A special event is happening on Monday in Osseo that’s sure to entertain, while raising money to help some local athletes.
“We wanted to give back to students who are running, to kids who are in the cross country program, and to really support their education,” said Allan Bohlke, president of the Osseo Alumni Cross Country Association.
Osseo’s Boerboom Veterans Park will host “Home Again: Back in Orange and Black” on Monday, Aug. 14, at 6 p.m.
The free event will feature storyteller and comedian Kevin Kling, along with singer/songwriter James Hersch. Both are alumni of Osseo Senior High.
While the show is free, people are encouraged to donate.
“It’s a real fun time, talking about living and growing up in Osseo, small- town living, and it’s really fun,” said Mike Ericson of the Osseo Alumni Cross Country Association. “It’s very entertaining.”
All proceeds will go to the Osseo Cross Country Alumni Association and provide scholarships to graduating seniors.
