Osseo City Budget: Expenditures, Non-Tax Levy Revenue Up
The Osseo City Council took another look at its city budget this week, before it comes up for final approval on Dec. 13. Expenditures would go up around 8 percent. Most of that increase comes from a cost-of-living increase for full-time and part-time hourly employees. There are also additional expenses like increased technology costs and the cost of a midterm election.
There’s also a 9 percent increase in non-tax levy revenue and a tax levy increase of 7.5 percent.
The non-tax levy revenue increase comes from increased community center rentals and youth participating in recreation programing as well as an increase in beautification donations, building permits, earned interest and police aid from the state.
