One Dead, Another Seriously Injured in Brooklyn Park Shooting
Brooklyn Park police are investigating a weekend shooting that left one person dead and another seriously injured.
Police say officers responded to reports of a shooting at around 2 p.m. Saturday at a business parking lot in the 8000 block of Brooklyn Boulevard.
Upon arrival, police found two people with gunshot wounds. Officers provided aid, but one of the victims was pronounced dead a short time later at North Memorial Health Hospital in Robbinsdale.
On Monday, the Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the deceased as Ramone Blue, 23, of Stewartville, Minn. The examiner said he had been shot multiple times.
Meanwhile, another person was “seriously wounded” in the shooting, police said. There was no update Monday on that person’s condition.
According to police, the shooter fled the scene before officers arrived.
As of this publishing Monday, no arrests had been made.
