Northern Taphouse To Replace Former Maple Grove Red Lobster
A new restaurant is coming to Maple Grove that’s taking the space of the former Red Lobster.
Northern Taphouse is a family-owned restaurant that currently has four locations, including one in Plymouth.
“We’ve been looking at Maple Grove for years,” said Matthew Letnis, partner with Lincoln Hospitality, which runs the family restaurant. Letnis spoke at Monday’s Maple Grove City Council meeting.
Shea design firm is leading the remodel of the former Red Lobster space, according to its website. That remodel will include adding an outdoor patio.
Northern Taphouse would also change its entrance to the building, per city council documents.
An exact opening date is not yet known, but the restaurant is aiming for late summer or early fall.
That area, located near Malone’s Bar and Grill, was originally supposed to get a Dave’s Hot Chicken and a Hope’s Breakfast Bar, but those plans never came to fruition.
