North Memorial Opens Drive-Through Testing Site for People with COVID-19 Symptoms
People with COVID-19 symptoms now have a new drive-through testing option at North Memorial’s Robbinsdale Specialty Center. The site, located at 3435 West Broadway Avenue, will be open to anyone who is showing at least one symptom of the novel coronavirus, whether it be fever, a cough or trouble breathing. The test is free. No doctor referral is needed. All one needs is an insurance card, a valid ID and accurate contact information.
When you arrive on site, you are asked to call the scheduling hotline to pre-register for testing. You should remain in your car and follow signs for parking and testing. If you do not have a car, you can walk-up to the site.
During the testing, you’ll pull your car up to the site and open your window. Clinical staff will swab your nose, place the sample in a sterile container and send it in for testing. You’ll also receive an after-visit summary card with follow-up information.
The free COVID-19 test results will be available in 5-7 days. People will receive results through MyChart or be called on the phone.
