North Memorial Health to Resume Air Care Operations
Robbinsdale-based North Memorial Health announced Friday that it’s resuming air care operations following last month’s fatal crash of one its medical helicopters near Brainerd.
North Memorial will incrementally resume operations over the next week at its seven air care bases in Minnesota and western Wisconsin. All bases are expected to be in service by July 19.
The crash killed North Memorial pilot Tim McDonald and nurse Deb Schott.
The lone survivor, Josh Duda, a paramedic, told National Transportation Safety Board investigators about foggy conditions moments before the crash.
