Ninja Warrior-Style Training Facility To Open in Brooklyn Park
Fans of the show “American Ninja Warrior” will soon get a training facility geared toward families and children in Brooklyn Park.
The Brooklyn Park City Council has approved a conditional use permit for Ninjas United to operate a 2,450-square-foot facility at 8400 Wyoming Ave. N.
“We’re very, very excited to operate in Brooklyn Park and bring what is a cool, family-oriented, community-oriented sport to the city of Brooklyn Park,” said Chris Voigt, who owns Ninjas United with his wife, Jen.
Ninjas United currently operates a facility in Maple Grove, which opened in 2018, but saw a need to expand.
Jen Voigt said the business started with 75 kids and quickly grew to more than 600 with 500 on a waitlist.
“It has exceeded any of my expectations,” said Voigt at the March 23 city council meeting.

According to city council documents, the business plans interior modifications to the Brooklyn Park building by adding separate gyms, conditioning space, a children’s play area and party rooms. Ninjas United will fill part of the building, which was previously occupied by UPS, the documents showed.
The business provides structured classes with coaches, competitive team training and open gym sessions.
Expected to open in August, Ninjas United plans to operate from 3:15 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekends.
