Newsmakers: New Robbinsdale Superintendent Aims For “Culture of Continuous Improvement”
New Robbinsdale Area Schools Superintendent Teri Staloch says she wants to use metrics and community engagement to lead the district.
“I am about continuous improvement,” said Staloch. “I haven’t been to that place yet, but part of my job is to create a culture of continuous improvement.”
The Robbinsdale School Board hired Staloch on July 1, with members describing the leader as “data-driven.”
“What is the district scorecard? What are the metrics that we want to track continuously,” asked Staloch. “Also how do people feel? I want staff to feel a sense of love and belonging to know that they are being supported and cared about, to know they are learning in a safe, secure environment and be in a culture where they can learn and work really well.”
Staloch will also begin her role as the district is considering a levy renewal that is tax-neutral and would continue to bring in $6.6 million for capital projects and technology.
“We’re hoping the community understands how we’ve used the investments,” said Staloch.
