Newsmakers: CROSS Services Reports 25 Percent Increase in Families Served
CROSS Services Executive Director Chad Lanners says the numbers of families they help continues to soar.
“We are seeing almost a 25 percent increase of families coming through our door,” said Lanners. CROSS provides wrap-around services for families in the Maple Grove-Osseo-Champlin area.
CROSS Services has been around since 1977 and is a nonprofit social service agency focusing on several “wrap-around” services that provide food, financial assistance, housing and a variety of aid to families.
Lanners says CROSS Services is seeing an almost 25 percent increase of families coming through the door, and seeing almost 100 families on a daily basis.
Lanners encourages people to give back through a financial donation, donating food, or even considering volunteering.
“Volunteers are no doubt the face of the organization, with 150-200 volunteers coming in weekly,” said Lanners. “They give that sense of dignity to families as they walk through the door.”
