New Villa-Style Housing Proposed for Plymouth
The Plymouth Planning Commission is recommending approval of a plan for a new housing development called Timbers Edge. An earlier version of the plan was rejected because it called for too many homes and removed too many trees.
The revised plan now calls for fewer homes. They would be built in a wooded area on a site west of Hollydale Golf Course. The developer, Mike Bergeron of Plymouth-based Timbers Edge Development, LLC, is now proposing 40 single-family homes. That’s down from 47. The revised plan also preserves roughly half of the tree cover, which would meet the city’s subdivision regulations.
The proposal is for villa-style homes, the kind that’s single-level living and popular with empty nesters. The homes would range in price from $500,000 on up.
The plan goes before the Plymouth City Council for a vote on April 23.
