New Robbinsdale Mayor, Council Members Take Oath
The city of Robbinsdale swore in a new mayor and a pair of council members on Tuesday night.
Mayor Brad Sutton took the oath of office replacing longtime Mayor and Council Member Bill Blonigan, who stepped away from elected office after serving the city for 44 years. Sutton won election last fall without opposition.
Sutton spoke with CCX News about replacing Blonigan and taking on the role of mayor.
Another new council member, Raymond Blackledge, was also sworn in. Blackledge, who is a track coach at Armstrong High School, won election last fall with 66 percent of the vote.
Jason Greenberg also received the oath of office. He was elected last fall to his first full four-year term after previously winning a special election.
