New Location Considered for Brooklyn Park Farmers Market
The Brooklyn Park Planning Commission is considering plans to move the city’s farmers market location.
For the past three seasons, the Brooklyn Park Farmers Market has been held in the former Brooklyn Park Library parking lot. According to parks and recreation officials, the site has challenges, including parking issues. The old library site is also a possibility for a new fire station, city documents show.
The city is proposing to move the market to the North Hennepin Community College parking lot off of West Broadway.
City documents show the college would be agreeable to the new arrangement.
The move would require city council approval.
