New Korean BBQ and Hot Pot Restaurant Opening Soon in Maple Grove
A new restaurant is coming to Maple Grove featuring a concept that has found success in other parts of the country.
KPOT Korean BBQ and Hot Pot plans to open in Maple Grove at 13601 Grove Drive, located just south of the Golden Corral restaurant.
This would be the franchise’s first location in Minnesota. It merges traditional Asian hot pot with Korean barbecue flavors.
The hot pot concept has grown increasingly popular across the U.S. It allows diners to cook various meats, seafood, vegetables and noodles in a pot of simmering broth usually placed in the center of their table.
Upin Hot Pot, a hot pot and sushi restaurant in Brooklyn Park, opened last year taking over space of a former Bakers Square restaurant.
A representative for KPOT Korean BBQ and Hot Pot told the Maple Grove City Council this week that he expects the restaurant to open the first week of March.
