Opening of New Hope Aquatic Center Proves to Be Big Summer Draw
In New Hope’s “State of the City” address this week, Mayor Kathi Hemken recapped the success of one of the city’s biggest projects, the opening of the New Hope Aquatic Center.
Attendance was close to 47,000 last summer. Back in 2017, the last year the previous city pool was open, attendance was closer to 19,000.
The park features a zero-depth entry, fast and slow body slides, a current channel, a vortex pool and tot slide, plus a fifty-meter pool with eight lanes and diving board.
The pool is expected to open for the 2022 summer season on the first weekend of June.
