Mount Olivet Lutheran’s ‘Blues Brews N BBQ’ Benefit for PRISM Returns
After a pandemic hiatus, Mount Olivet Lutheran Church’s annual Blues Brews N BBQ returns on Aug. 6.
The mission this year is to feed people and the fundraiser benefits PRISM and Loaves and Fishes.
“It’s good food and music and beer and the opportunity to get out and really celebrate summer and community all around us and all to benefit the neighbors around us,” said Pastor Beth Horsch from Mount Olivet Lutheran Church. “It’s really great food around a BBQ theme with food from Milton’s in Crystal, The Lookout in Maple Grove, Honey and Mackie’s too. It’s food for the kids and food for the adults and they are all summer favorites–really tasty and really good.”
The line-up of musical acts is just as impressive too, with the Lisa Wenger band, the Harrison Street band, and Annie Mack.
Early bird tickets are $20 or you can get a “pint-pack” for only $25 that includes admission, a pint glass and one free pour.
Gates open at Mount Olivet Lutheran Church at 4 p.m. rain or shine.
This is the 11th year for the fundraiser.
