More Than 900 Toys Collected at Brooklyn Park Home
For more than 30 years, Jerry Moscowitz and his family have collected toys in their Brooklyn Park home for Toys for Tots. This year they collected more than 900 toys.
Moscowitz got out a yardstick on Monday morning to show how high the toys stacked up.
“This is 36 in., so we’ve got three feet and most of this room is sitting at 4 to 4.5 feet high of toys just solid down to the floor,” said Moscowitz.
One way that made this year’s collection different from previous years is that people intentionally brought toys for teenagers, which is an area that is often lacking in donations.
The Marines and Toys for Tots organization picked up the toys on Monday.
