Microbrewery in the Works for Osseo’s Central Avenue
The owners of Union Speed and Style are expanding their building on Central Avenue and hoping to attract a microbrewery as a tenant. Plans include adding a third level to the current building and a covered patio.
“It’s one of those things that fits into the fabric of the community, a neighborhood establishment,” said Osseo Mayor Duane Poppe.
Poppe says a unique microbrewery would be a good fit for Osseo because of Central Avenue’s makeup of independent, locally owned businesses.
The Osseo city council approved site and building plans at a recent meeting.
Poppe says there have been people interested in the microbrewery, and residents should see construction underway on the building this year.
