Maple Grove’s Town Green To Host ‘Crimson Christmas Cheer’ Dec. 7
A Maple Grove musician is planning to spread some Christmas cheer this holiday season, but folks will have to bundle up for it.
“I produce an event called ‘Grooves & Foods’ at Town Green every summer, and I thought, it would be great to do something like that in the winter,” said Mick Sterling, a musician from Maple Grove.

Maple Grove musician Mick Sterling is the organizer of Crimson Christmas Cheer.
Sterling is organizing an event a similar event to the Groove & Foods music festival to get people in the holiday spirit.
On Dec. 7, the Maple Grove Town Green will host “Crimson Christmas Cheer.” The event will feature food trucks, beverages, a Vikings viewing party and a 19-piece orchestra playing Christmas songs from Bing Crosby and Andy Williams.
“I grant you, it’s unusual,” said Sterling. “But people go outside all the time, and I think if people just get into the spirit of it, come prepared, lots of great things are going to happen. I think it’s going to be, hopefully, a new tradition that happens in Maple Grove every year. I feel very strongly that it can work.”
Crimson Christmas Cheer is a free event, but people are encouraged to donate to The 30 Days Foundation or CROSS Services. Both nonprofits will be on site.
