Maple Grove School Practices Skol Chant
In the dead of winter, sometimes even the smallest of Minnesotans need something to cheer about. The Vikings have supplied that cup of winter cheer by making a solid playoff run with Super bowl hopes. Students and teachers alike have been talking about the play dubbed the “Minneapolis Miracle.”
“We don’t have a watercooler, but we might as well have one because people are talking about it,
says Basswood Elementary principal Patrick Smith, wearing a Vikings jersey.
The school channeled the energy of the week into Spirit Day, where students wore purple, Vikings attire, and performed the Skol chant during lunch.
“We are a big community and we pride ourselves on our community. This is another way we can bring us together.”
