Maple Grove PUPS, Fur Ever Home Rescue Offering Low-Cost Vaccine Clinic
Fur-Ever Home Rescue and Pets Under Police Security are teaming up to offer a low-cost pet vaccine clinic at the PUPS location in Maple Grove.
The clinic will offer a variety of different shots, including rabies, distemper, lyme and leptospirosis vaccines. Bordetella is also available. The vaccines will cost between $20-30.
The clinic also has microchipping, which Cassandra Boser, animal containment coordinator, strongly encourages. She said current shots are important, and this is a great way to do it.
“Animals that are coming in here as strays that are going back home, only about 20 percent of them are current on their rabies vaccine. And all of the state ordinances require that pets be kept current– dogs and cats and ferrets– be kept current on rabies vaccines.”
The clinic runs from noon until 3 p.m. on Saturday, June 7.
Interested neighbors can find more details, including where to park and wait, on PUPS’ Facebook event page.
