Maple Grove Party City Store To Close Feb. 1: Report
Time is winding down for another national retailer.
Party City is closing the rest of its stores, which will impact Maple Grove, according to multiple national media reports.
The Maple Grove store is located in The Shoppes at Arbor Lakes near Lunds & Byerlys. Party City also has nine other store locations in Minnesota.
CNN reports that the company’s stores will shutter Feb. 1, though USA Today reports some franchisee locations may stay open. None of those are in Minnesota.
It’s not clear how many Minnesota employees the closures will impact. The company is estimated to employ roughly 10,000 people.
Party City cited inflation and changes in consumer spending for the closures. The company had previously emerged from bankruptcy in 2023.
Headquartered in Woodcliff Lake, N.J., Party City was founded in 1986.
