Maple Grove Man Assembles Kits for Homeless
Richard Bahr has a heart for the homeless. He has a ministry called Threshold to New Life dedicated to helping them. This past week on a comfortable April evening he and group of his supporters assembled in his Maple Grove driveway to spearhead an effort in spite of the virus.
“We always have poor among us. We’ve got plenty of people right in our community that have needs. But, particularly right now it’s acute because there’s fewer volunteers to step in the gap for people. We’re just attempting to do it in an appropriate way, in a safe way, but yet still continue to love our neighbors,” said Bahr.
The group stood six feet away from one another. People wore masks. They put together about a hundred personal care kits for the homeless. Each kit contains 16 items. Bahr plans to distribute the kits this week.
Bahr says he can distribute just about anything you can get your hands on. Richard Bahr can be reached through Threshold to New Life at 763-463-9398 or you can visit the Threshold to New Life website.
