Maple Grove Kicks Off National Night Out Early
Maple Grove got a head start on National Night Out festivities Tuesday. Local police and businesses came together midday to host a family-friendly gathering outdoors.
There were free giveaways, vehicles on display, fun attractions and a food truck hosted by The Lookout Bar & Grill. There were also one-on-one opportunities to connect with Maple Grove police.
“I think the main thing is we’re all back together again,” said Maple Grove Police Chief Eric Werner. “We’ve been through so much with COVID, where we’ve been isolated and remote and apart from each other.”
National Night Out gives neighbors in communities all across the country a chance to get to know one another and their local officials. For Maple Grove police, it’s also a time to reinforce the importance of driving safety and keeping yourself and your neighbors safe.
