Maple Grove High School Students Stage Walkout To Protest ICE Operations
Students at Maple Grove High School staged a walkout at about 1 p.m. Monday to protest U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) operations in Minnesota.
Drone video posted on social media showed dozens of students gathered in a circle outside the school.
It was one of several protests planned around the Twin Cities on Monday.
No school districts in the CCX News viewing area, the Twin Cities northwest suburbs, have canceled classes due to safety concerns related to ICE activity. Last week, the Minneapolis, Fridley and Columbia Heights school districts canceled classes, citing safety concerns related to immigration enforcement.
