Maple Grove Cupcake Shop Makes Backstage Pearl Jam Delivery
It’s an opportunity Lauren Vandeberg, general manager of Nadia Cakes in Maple Grove, has never had before: make a backstage cake delivery at a rock concert.
But this wasn’t any rock concert. The cake was delivered to members of Pearl Jam.
The Maple Grove shop received a call from Live Nation asking for a cake and bakers went to work.
“That was a really big deal for us. It was really cool,” said Vandeberg.
The cake, four tiers in height, featured a guitar, drums and Pearl Jam’s logo. It took eight hours to make.
“We were able to deliver it back stage which was super fun,” said Vandeberg. “The band saw it, they get to serve it to everybody that works for them, and Eddie Vedder’s wife, Jill Vedder, posted it on her Instagram story, which was cool.”
Nadia Cakes also had the honor of making a cake last month for Pink when the pop star was in town for her concert.
This week for back to school, Nadia Cakes stayed busy, making cupcakes that look like apples.
