Man Shot in Legs Following Domestic Dispute in Brooklyn Center
Brooklyn Center Police Seek Daughter and Her Boyfriend in Shooting
A man is recovering after being shot outside a home in Brooklyn Center, police said Tuesday.
Brooklyn Center police were called to the 5700 block of Logan Avenue North at around 1:30 p.m. Monday. When officers arrived, they found a man who was shot in the legs. Police provided medical aid and the man was taken to a nearby hospital.
According to police, the shooting started over a domestic situation. Police say one of the suspects thought her mom was being abused by her significant other. The daughter later went outside to her boyfriend who was waiting in a car and told him to “get him.”
Shortly afterwards, the boyfriend exited his vehicle and shot the man in the legs. The shooter and his girlfriend then fled the scene in a burgundy-colored Honda, police said.
Police have an arrest warrant out for the daughter and boyfriend. The shooting victim has non-life threatening injuries and is expected to be okay.
