Man Hospitalized After Shooting Outside Maple Grove Gas Station
A man is in the hospital after he was shot outside a Maple Grove gas station early Wednesday morning.
Maple Grove police say they were called to the BP gas station near 73rd Avenue and Hemlock Lane around 1 a.m. Wednesday after a report of a shooting.
When officers arrived on scene, they found a 22-year-old man with a gunshot wound.
Investigators say two acquaintances arranged to meet at the gas station when a fight broke out between them.
Police arrested a 21-year-old man at the scene who’s believed to be the shooter. Formal charges are pending. He’s currently being held at the Maple Grove Police Department’s detention facility.
The gunshot victim was taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital. Investigators say they’re not aware of his condition but he is expected to survive.
