Man Hospitalized After Brooklyn Center Shooting
Police say a man was taken to the hospital after a shooting in Brooklyn Center Tuesday afternoon. Brooklyn Center police initially found out about the victim when Minneapolis police located a man with a gunshot wound shortly after 3 p.m. at 51st and James avenues north in Minneapolis, police said.
Brooklyn Center police say the man told Minneapolis officers that the shooting actually occurred at 54th and Logan avenues north in Brooklyn Center.
The man was taken to the hospital with a gunshot wound to his leg. Police say the man’s injuries are not life threatening. Brooklyn Center police checked the area and could not locate any bullet casings or an apparent crime scene.
Officers could not get more detailed information from the victim due to his immediate need for medical care. Police have not made any arrests and the case remains under investigation.
