Longtime Crystal Police Chief To Retire
The city of Crystal’s longtime police chief will retire this summer, according to an announcement made at Tuesday’s council meeting.
Stephanie Revering became the city’s police chief in 2012 and has served the city for more than 27 years. Her last day will be June 27.
Crystal City Manager Adam Bell announced the retirement news at the meeting.
“She will be missed,” said Bell.
Chief Revering spoke after Bell made the announcement.
“It’s been a tremendous honor for me, that’s all I’m going to say, because I’m still here and I still have a little over five and a half months left whether you like it or not,” said a smiling Revering.
The city of Crystal does have a succession plan.
Bell said Deputy Chief Brian Hubbard will be appointed chief. Crystal Police Lieutenant Pete Underthun, meanwhile, will be appointed deputy chief, Bell said.
