Local Women Wear Pearls to Commemorate First Female Vice President
With the swearing in of the first female vice president, many women wore pearls to commemorate the occasion. Vice President Kamala Harris wore pearls during the campaign and is a member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority, which also has pearls as a symbol.
