Life Time Clubs Hosting Charity Cycle Event April 29
Life Time clubs throughout the Twin Cities are providing people an opportunity to burn off some calories, while also raising money for a good cause.
Life Time is hosting its annual ‘Ride of a Life Time’ charity cycle event to raise money for Gillette Children’s Hospital and the Life Time Foundation.
Members and non-members are invited to get in the cycle studio at any Life Time club on Saturday, April 29, from 8 to 11 a.m. for a fun, heart-pounding workout. (Non-members would have to purchase a one-day pass, with proceeds going to the benefiting organizations).
The Plymouth Life Time always gets a full house for the event. Participants are encouraged to raise a minimum of $250, and all of the funds raised locally will stay right here in Minnesota.
“It really shows that people have a good heart,” said Tiffany Berenberg, a studio leader at the Plymouth Life Time. “And I think when we see the need, and we hear the stories about the children who we help, that it really tugs at all of our hearts. And makes us work out a little harder. Makes us push a little bit more.”
Life Time has a company-wide goal of raising $1.5 million for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals and the Life Time Foundation, which works with schools in the Twin Cities to help them serve healthier food.
Registration for the event is now open online.
