Last-Minute Shopping? Maple Grove Personal Shopper Curates Local Gift Boxes
Amy Seeman is a personal shopper at The Shoppes at Arbor Lakes. This holiday season she’s helping bridge the gap between shoppers finding the perfect gift that supports a local business and not wanting to mix and mingle with the crowd either.
“I think right now there’s hesitation to go into multiple stores but also there’s a strong desire to shop local and support businesses who have had an incredibly difficult year,” explains Seeman.
Seeman has created several gift boxes that vary in price from $55 to $130. You can choose a box for the man who loves the outdoors or a family who loves board games. Seeman says one of her most popular ones is called “Cozy Chic Holiday Box” for the female who likes bonfires and all things hygge.
But if you don’t see something you like, Seeman can create a special box for you too. She’ll gather up the items and then you can pick it up curbside outside her Shoppes location.
“The benefit I bring to this is I’m able to foster relationships with stores who offer a discount. So if you purchase a box that’s worth $115, you are only paying $80,” said Seeman.
Seeman says another benefit is you are supporting local businesses.
“I really try to pull from those places so you can really support small businesses,” said Seeman.
