Klevorn Re-elected to House, Wins House 42B Seat
State Rep. Ginny Klevorn will return to the Minnesota House after defeating Jackie Schroeder to win the House District 42B seat.
Klevorn won with 60.6 percent of the vote, while Schroeder finished with 39.4 percent out of a total of 20,496 ballots cast.
House 42B covers Plymouth east of Vicksburg Lane and Medicine Lake.
Klevorn has served in the Minnesota House since 2018 when she won election in a close race over Republican incumbent Sarah Anderson. That particular race attracted significant outside dollars and ultimately helped lead to a DFL takeover of the House in 2018.
“Good legislation requires calm, steady leadership,” said Klevorn during a 2022 candidate statement she filed on CCX Media outlining her priorities. “When looking at the public record, you’ll see my work in world-class education, public safety, climate and environmental protections, affordable health care and protection women’s reproductive rights.”
