Kevin Kling, James Hersch Back for Osseo Cross Country Fundraiser
Osseo Cross Country Alumni are back for a fundraiser that’s becoming an anticipated annual event.
“Home Again 5” features storyteller Kevin Kling and songwriter James Hersch in Boerboom Park on Sept. 7 at 6 p.m.
“I feel so lucky to have gone to school here, to have the mentors that I had. I think the ability to give back is a really important thing, ” said Kevin Kling, who has graced national stages with NPR’s “All Things Considered.”
The event on Sept. 7 is free, but donations for the Osseo Cross Country Team are encouraged.
“I’m really happy to be involved in a small way for a young person to participate, even if they maybe can’t afford the cost,” said James Hersch, a singer-songwriter, is also a cross country alum and a member of the class of 1974.
“It’s all about building community and it’s bringing us together, the small town of Osseo,” said Mike Ericson from the Osseo Cross Country Alumni Assoc. “You’ll see all different ages, a bunch of us that have graduated and that’s what growing up and living in the small town of Osseo is all about.”
