Brooklyn Park Karate Academy Goes Outdoors to Attract New Students
National Karate martial arts academy in Brooklyn Park is now conducting classes outdoors. Joe Boone, owner and head instructor, says at first he held virtual classes during the COVID-19 pandemic but found that way challenging to gain interest.
Now, even though Boone’s indoor facility has reopened, he plans to continue to hold socially-distanced classes outdoors every Tuesday and Thursday at Zane Sports Park. CCX News photojournalist Dustin Scholl helped capture one of the classes.
Boone says it’s more important than ever for kids to get out and be active in a safe way.
