Joaneddy’s Ice Cream Serves Up Special Memories to Osseo
When you think of ice cream in Osseo, you think of Joaneddy’s ice cream tricycle taxicab that sells cool treats during the summer months. Ed and Joan Columbus have sold ice cream in the city for the last six years.
“It’s just a fun thing to do,” explained Ed Columbus. “We get to meet a lot of people. It brings a lot of memories for folks that used to go see the ice cream man in their childhood.”
Columbus says the ice cream truck just creates a nice event in a “nice little town.”
You can catch Joaneddy’s every Tuesday at the Osseo Farmers Market as well as at the upcoming Lions Roar event. The couple gets a kick out of selling ice cream.
“He’s always wanted to go back and sell ice cream. He remembers those old ice cream trucks,” says Joan. “He kind of wants to create that memory for the kids in a new way.”
In case you are wondering about the most popular ice cream sold, Ed says it’s hands-down the drumstick.
