Is Robbinsdale’s Salon Halo Haunted?
The people who work in Salon Halo in Robbinsdale say the shop is haunted and they’ve had several run-ins with a ghost in the last eight years.
Owner Amanda Kist says the ghost is more mischievous than menacing. She calls him “Charlie.”
“We discovered ‘Charlie’ five years ago,” said Kist. “I always felt something weird and couldn’t define it.”
Kist says ‘Charlie’ frequently turns off the music at 6 p.m. Sometimes boxes and items will fall off shelves. Trash lids will move and odd things will happen.
When something out of the ordinary does happen, Kist says people will just tell ‘Charlie’ to knock it off.
“You can take it for what it is. He’s not angry or volatile. He’s just our resident ghost,” said Kist.
Our photojournalist Dustin Scholl experienced the ghost while recording this story. As soon as he finished recording, the music mysteriously shut off.
