“In the Next Room” on Stage at Yellow Tree Theatre
Yellow Tree Theatre’s “In the Next Room” is described as “laugh out-loud” funny, but assistant director Lester Mayers says it’s also a play that will make you think.
“This show is really about pulling the curtain back on one’s personal and exploring into a place of healing. Do we necessarily get to that place? No. But like life, this play is a reflection of what a journey could possibly be,” said Mayers.
“In the Next Room” or “The Vibrator Play” is by Sarah Ruhl and is directed by Austene Van. It’s set in the Victorian era, and follows a doctor and his wife “examining their marriage and what it means to honestly love.”
The show runs June 2-26 at Yellow Tree Theatre. Look for ticket information here.
