In Need of More Space, Golf Specifics Relocating to Plymouth
Golf Specifics, a fitness training facility specifically for golf, plans to relocate from Maple Grove to Plymouth.
According to city planning documents, the move allows for more space. The new location would be at 12700 Industrial Park Boulevard, located off Highway 55.
The new facility would provide a “unique fitness service not currently offered in the area,” read the applicant narrative in planning documents.
The business is currently located in a smaller space at 10401 93rd Ave. N. in Maple Grove. The future location offers 4,385 square feet of space. The proposal requires approval of a conditional use permit, which would allow a sports and fitness club to operate in light industrial zoning district. The Plymouth Planning Commission recommended approval at its Sept. 17 meeting.
Golf Specifics offers customized golf fitness programs geared toward school age athletes. Small group sessions are also available for adult and senior golfers. The business also plans to offer a one-on-one trainer.
City officials stated the hours of operation would be 5:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. to accommodate various schedules.
The Plymouth City Council will review the proposal at a future meeting.
