Hy-Vee Drive-Through Proposed for New Hope Store
Hy-Vee wants to step up their grocery store game in New Hope.
The location, which was the first Hy-Vee store in the state, wants to add another Minnesota first. The Iowa-based grocery chain is proposing a new drive-through kiosk for people to pick up groceries they order online in a location that’s not connected to the store.
The new Hy-Vee drive-through kiosk would be located to the west of the New Hope store, where there currently is employee parking. It would have three lanes and be for customers who shop using the store’s Aisles Online program. Then, the groceries would be delivered directly to the kiosk from the warehouse, not the store. This move would ease congestion in the pick-up lane and cut down on professional shoppers inside the store.
The city council approved the resolution for the Hy-Vee drive-through. You can listen to the discussion here.
