Honey and Mackie’s Creates Ice Cream Sampler for Valentine’s Day
It may be the middle of winter, but Honey & Mackie’s in Plymouth is hoping that people will think of ice cream while celebrating Valentine’s Day with their loved-one.
“I want us to be part of people’s memories,” said Suzanne Varecka, owner of Honey & Mackie’s. “I want people to know that when other things are closing down, and they don’t have other sources of joy, that they can count on Honey & Mackie’s as a place that can be part of their traditions.”
Honey and Mackie’s has introduced a Valentine’s Day sampler pack this year.
For $29.75, you get 12 different flavors of ice cream designed to satisfy any sweet tooth, while also telling your significant other that you love them.
Several flavors in the bunch were made specifically for the sample pack, such as Valentine’s Cake Batter, Cupid’s Cookies and Triple Chocolate.
“Nothing against flowers or chocolates or bottles of wine or alcohol. All that stuff has a place,” Varecka said. “But we just think that this is a great opportunity to do something unique and to give something unique.”
Honey and Mackie’s expects to sell close to a thousand of the sample packs before Valentine’s Day. Samplers are in-store pick up only.
Earlier in the year, the ice cream shop created a drive-through to better serve customers during the pandemic.
