Hennepin County Reports Successful ‘Plastic Free Challenge’
Hennepin County says it had nearly 1,100 people participate in the “Plastic Free Challenge.”
The initiative prevented use of more than 2,200 pounds of packaging waste and upwards of 5,000 plastic straws. In total, participants completed more than 8,600 actions to reduce reliance on plastics.
Carolyn Collopy with Hennepin County advised participants at the start of the challenge to start small and make manageable changes. See story here.
