Heard About ‘Where’s Waldo?’ Now There’s ‘Where’s Crystal the Snowman?’
Crystal resident Bonnie Bolash has a light-up snowman named Crystal that she moves to different houses and neighborhoods each week. Bolash says her children loved the “Where’s Waldo?” books, so she thought this would be a good adaptation for a socially distant activity over the holidays.
“One day when I was walking, I was thinking this year has been really hard for a lot of people. There hasn’t been a lot of magic this year,” explained Bolash. “I thought, I should do something magical.”
Bolash posts on Facebook which of Crystal’s 14 neighborhoods you can go and hunt in Crystal. She has several families who have volunteered to host Crystal the Snowman in their front yards.
This week, Crystal is hanging out in the Winnetka Hills neighborhood. Next weekend, he’s supposed to be somewhere in the Valley Place neighborhood.
