Golden Valley Police Seek Public’s Help in Drive-by Shooting, Offer $5K Reward
Golden Valley police are offering a reward to help solve a drive-by shooting involving two vehicles that seriously injured a woman Saturday night.
The shooting occurred at about 8:35 p.m. Saturday near Duluth Street and Regent Avenue North. Police say multiple shots were fired. They say a light-colored sedan with yellow headlights fled the area headed east on Golden Valley Road. That vehicle may have been occupied by two people, police said.
The injured woman suffered two gunshot wounds. She was initially listed in critical condition, but is now reported to be in stable condition. Her identity was not released. There are no details yet on a possible motive for the shooting.
“This remains to be an active investigation,” read a press release from police to CCX News.
The Golden Valley Crime Prevention Fund is offering a $5,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest and conviction in the case.
Police are asking residents who live in the area to check video doorbells or outdoor surveillance cameras for any footage captured around that time that could assist investigators.
“If you have video, photos, or any information regarding this incident, please contact us,” said Golden Valley police Cmdr. Alice White. “You may remain anonymous. Collaboration and communication with the community is imperative to maintaining public safety.”
