Golden Valley Historical Society Museum to Reopen June 12
The Golden Valley Historical Society’s museum and historic church will reopen to the public on Saturday, June 12. The museum and exhibits were closed to the public for 15 months due to COVID-19. But now they will be open every Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The current exhibit is titled “Golden Valley: There’s No Place Like Home” and it features the history of the city from pre-European contact to today. There are also exhibits that include early pioneer families, Golden Valley High School, the first Byerly’s Foods, and more.
In addition to the museum wing being back open, the historic church is once again available for weddings. The church was built in 1882 and is considered the oldest in the city.
