Golden Valley Council Says Goodbye to Outgoing Member Larry Fonnest
The Golden Valley city council recognized outgoing council member Larry Fonnest at their last meeting of the year. They presented Fonnest with a city street sign with “Fonnest Point” on it.
Fonnest served for 8 years and did not seek reelection.
“We haven’t always agreed and we haven’t always had a smooth ride, but we’ve kept the goal before us,” said Fonnest.
Fonnest told the council he was most proud of the city’s anti-tobacco and vaping ordinance as one of the toughest in the state as an effort to “keep youth safe.”
