Golden Valley City Council Member Larry Fonnest Not Seeking Re-election
Council member Larry Fonnest confirms to CCX News that he will not seek re-election to the Golden Valley City Council. His term will expire at the end of the year. Fonnest has served on the council since 2013.
In a statement to the Sun Post, Fonnest said, “It’s been an honor to serve Golden Valley these past eight years. I want to thank voters for their trust and my family, friends and campaign volunteers for their support. I also want to thank my council colleagues and the city’s dedicated employees, especially the city manager and executive team, for moving Golden Valley forward. We’ve come a long way. The city is in good hands.”
Golden Valley will have two council seats on the ballot this fall: Fonnest’s and council member Gillian Rosenquist’s seat.
