Golden Valley Carjacking Suspect Arrested, Car Recovered
Golden Valley police have arrested a 15-year-old from Buffalo and say he’ll face charges for an armed carjacking.
Police say the carjacking happened before 9 p.m. on Monday night. A release said the 16-year-old victim was pumping gas with her 14-year-old sister at the Speedway gas station at 1930 Douglas Drive North when two teenage boys approached her vehicle. The report says one of the boys displayed a handgun and demanded she hand over the keys to the vehicle. She did and no one was injured.
Police found the car in Bloomington two hours later. Police recovered the handgun and detained four teenagers. Police say the one suspect has been arrested and charges will be filed with the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office.
