Golden Valley Benefit Highlights Spot’s Last Stop Canine Rescue
A Golden Valley fitness trainer is helping to bring awareness to a Twin Cities nonprofit canine rescue. On Sunday, Lindsey Heiserman organized a benefit for Spot’s Last Stop. The organization helps find permanent homes for homeless canines.
“Spot’s Last Stop partners with a couple organization’s in Alabama and brings dogs who don’t have homes there. A lot of them are in kill shelters, brings them up here. They live with foster families until they find their forever home,” said Heiserman.
The nonprofit has rescued more than 3,000 dogs over the last five years. Heiserman says her two dogs also came from Spot’s Last Stop.
The event at Under Pressure Brewing not only raised money for the organization, but included a visit from Santa.
